Clinical tests of new remedy for a cancer of a pancreas
New means for a pancreas cancer therapy successfully passed tests on mice, writes BBC.
The group of scientists of the Cambridge University carried out therapy by an animal, suffering from cancer, experimental preparation of MRK003 in a combination to an antineoplastic preparation the gemtsitabiny. Scientific work showed that two preparations start a number of the chemical processes destroying cages of a cancer in an organism that visually proves efficiency of this combination.
At present researchers already started clinical tests of a preparation of MRK003 for which selection of 60 patients with cancer of a pancreas is begun. Funds for researches of medicine are allocated with the British charitable company Cancer Research.
The average survival rate of patients with this diagnosis seldom exceeds now 1 year.
